Alan Bog
Alan Bog has worked in the transportation sector of the Pulp and paper Industry since 1984, having previously worked for a Shipowner and a Project Forwarder.
He has worked for many years in Europe involved in terminal operations, storage and distribution of pulp and paper products. In those roles he was also organizing forwarding operations for mills and traders to markets in the Far East and world-wide.
Since 2008, he has been based in China, where he is Commercial Director Asia for the Euroports Group,
Euroports, with its terminals in Changshu and Gaolan is one of the leaders in pulp and paper distribution in China.
As well as his professional commitments, Alan is also President of IFPTA (International Forest Products Transport Association), the association for professionals in the pulp and paper logistics field. IFPTA co-organizes with Fastmarkets RISI the bi-annual Transport Symposium.

Alejandro Mata
Fastmarkets RISI, Director Europe Packaging and Graphic Papers
Alejandro is responsible for client support and analytics for Fastmarkets RISI's European Forest Products team. Alejandro is the author of the European graphic monthly monitor, the Paper Trader Europe,
short and long term graphic paper forecasts, as well as various single and multi-client studies within the paper and board industry. Alejandro is a frequent presenter at industry events.
Previously, Alejandro was a business analyst for a European fine paper producer where he ran their competitive and end use intelligence functions. He has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the Solvay Business School of Economics and Management in Brussels.

Beth Lis
Fastmarkets RISI, Vice President of Asian Paper & Packaging
Beth began her career at Fastmarkets RISI in 1995, as an economist analyzing Asian paper and board markets. Her work was instrumental in helping to develop and expand Fastmarket RISI's analysis of these markets, building Fastmarket RISI's extensive databases, developing Fastmarket RISI's price series, and forecasting for the Asian region. In 2006 she helped to open fastmarket RISI's Shanghai office. She currently is responsible for the Asian Paper Packaging and Asian Graphic paper forecasts and reports. Beth holds a Masters in Public Affairs (focusing on Economics and Public Policy) from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University, USA and a B.A. in Economics and Computer Science from Dartmouth College, USA.
Beth began her career at Fastmarkets RISI in 1995, as an economist analyzing Asian paper and board markets. Her work was instrumental in helping to develop and expand Fastmarket RISI's analysis of these markets, building Fastmarket RISI's extensive databases, developing Fastmarket RISI's price series, and forecasting for the Asian region. In 2006 she helped to open fastmarket RISI's Shanghai office. She currently is responsible for the Asian Paper Packaging and Asian Graphic paper forecasts and reports. David Fortin
Fastmarkets RISI, Vice President, Fiber
David Fortin has been with Fastmarkets RISI since 2005. He spent his first seven years as a member of the Fiber Economic Analysis team and was responsible for specialty pulp coverage and assisted with the World Pulp Monthly, the five and fifteen year World Pulp and Recovered Paper Forecast and Dissolving Pulp Monitor. During his time on the Fiber team he was the author of the World Fluff Pulp Study and multiple single-client and mill risk studies. He joined the Wood Products Economic Analysis team in 2013 where he expanded the monthly structural panel model to cover the entire North American market and created the Dashboard that has been rolled out to all wood products commentaries. As part of the Wood Products team he completed a study on OSB Capacity Expansion and the Development of US Pellet Exports – Impacts on Woodfiber Supply and was the author of Fastmarkets RISI’s monthly Lumber Commentary and five and fifteen year North American Lumber Forecast as well as co-author of the five and fifteen year Engineered Wood Products Forecast. He rejoined the Fiber team in 2018 and is the author of the World Pulp Monthly and five and fifteen year forecast.David has a master's degree in international economics and finance from the International Business School at Brandeis University and has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Esko Uutela
Fastmarkets RISI, Principal Economist, Tissue
With more than 30 years' experience in the global paper market, Esko's expertise lies in the tissue and recovered fiber markets. After working nearly 18 years for a large forest industry consulting company in Helsinki and Munich, Esko established EU Consulting, his own forest industry consulting company in 1994. In 2007, EU Consulting was merged with Fastmarkets RISI. Esko is the chief editor of Fastmarkets RISI's comprehensive studies on tissue business worldwide as well as carries out numerous private client projects.
With more than 30 years' experience in the global paper market, Esko's expertise lies in the tissue and recovered fiber markets. Hannah Zhao
Fastmarkets RISI, Senior Economist, Global Recovered Paper
Hannah joined Fastmarkets RISI in January 2009 as an economist on recovered paper. She is the coauthor of the Global Impact of China's Recovered Paper Import Regulations, the Outlook for Global Recovered Paper Markets and the OCC/UKP Market Analysis special studies, as well as the World Recovered Paper Monitor and the World Pulp & Recovered Paper Forecast. Ms. Zhao holds a Master's degree in Resource Economics from University of Rhode Island.
Hannah joined Fastmarkets RISI in January 2009 as an economist on recovered paper. She is the coauthor of the Global Impact of China's Recovered Paper Import Regulations, the Outlook for Global Recovered Paper Markets and the OCC/UKP Market Analysis special studies, as well as the World Recovered Paper Monitor and the World Pulp & Recovered Paper Forecast. Hirokazu YASUI
Mr. Yasui graduated from Engineering Department of Tokyo University and obtained a master degree in Industrial Engineering from State University of New York. He joined Oji Paper Co., Ltd. in April of 1987 and has more than 30 years of technology and management planning experience. In 2004, he began to undertake business of Oji China, and took charge of the preparatory work of Jiangsu Oji project and Nepia business. He is now a corporate officer of Oji Holding Co., Ltd., the regional China CEO of Oji and the chairman of Jiangsu Oji Paper Co., Ltd., He is now fully responsible for the operation and management of the whole Oji China.

Jason Zhang
Mr. Zhang joined Vinda in 1992. He is the deputy Executive Director of Vinda International Holdings Limited, responsible for coordinating the operation, information technology, supply chain and production of the Group. Mr. Zhang has over 28 years of experience in the household paper industry and has rich insights in areas such as corporate governance, raw material supply chain planning and management. Mr. Zhang played an important role in several significant projects in Vinda, promoting innovation and the cooperation between production sites and research institutes, bringing great contribution to the development of the Group. Mr. Zhang is the Vice President of China Paper and Pulp Industry Chamber of Commerce, he is also the Standing Director of Guangdong Paper Association.

Fastmarkets RISI, Graphic Paper Analyst
Jennifer Liu is responsible for collecting and updating information on Asian graphic paper markets. She joined UMPaper in 2011 and is based in the Beijing office. Jennifer produces the UMPaper Graphic Paper report and also supports the Asian Pulp & Paper Monitor and Tissue Outlook. She has also contributed to the Asia Graphic Paper Forecast, Capacity Report and other products and studies. Jennifer holds a Master’s degree of Pulp and Paper Engineering from South China University of Technology.

Levi Li
Levi Li joined RISI Shanghai Representation office in January, 2008, as the Asian Key Account Manager - Pulp and Paper, managing all commercial activities of RISI’s pulp and paper service within the Asian territory. In March, 2012, Levi Li was appointed General Manager of RISI China, overseeing all RISI services in China, ranging from data and information business, event business, as well as consulting business.
Prior to RISI, Levi Li was CEO of UMPaper (Shanghai Leadway E-commerce Co., Ltd.) – the leading local pulp and paper market information provider, from January, 2007 to June, 2007. Levi Li started his career in China pulp and paper industry starting from January 2004, with his first job at Sinar Mas Group (APP China), and had been taking different roles as business analyst, sales executive, and market intelligence manager.
Levi Li holds a master degree in business administration from Fudan University, Shanghai, and now lived in Shanghai with the family.

Melissa Chen joined UMPaper at RISI Beijing Office as senior packaging paper analyst in 2011. She covers pricing and end-uses for packaging paper and board in China, with a focus on containerboard and cartonboard grades.
Prior to UMPaper, Melissa worked for Guangdong Lee & Man Paper and Dongguan Jintian Paper. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Pulp and Paper from Shaanxi University of Science and Technology in China.

Fastmarkets RISI, Senior Product Manager, Mill Intelligence
Sampsa carries out cost competitiveness analysis of pulp, paper and packaging mills as part of Fastmarkets RISI’s Mill Intelligence team. In addition to cash manufacturing costs, he also specializes in investment and capital cost estimates and has contributed to various studies on graphic paper machine conversions, risk of closure, and specialty papers. Prior to joining Fastmarkets RISI, he worked in various manufacturing and R&D positions at pulp and paper mills in both Latin America and Europe. He holds a Master’s Degree in Pulp and Paper Technology from Finland.

Lei is responsible for the Sales of industrial gas turbines for Power Generation business of Solar Turbines in China and he is based at Beijing.
Lei has over 10 years experiences in the energy industry from where he started at Sgurr Energy as consultant of the wind power developer/investor. He then became an energy investor entrepreneur by fund raising of several energy projects. He then worked as sales manager of distributed generation business at Johnson Control prior joining Solar Turbines.
Lei is dedicated at sustainable energy system in terms of connecting cutting edge technologies, with proven robust system with new mechanism of integration. Lei also focusing on the angle of operational success of such energy project as it is one of the most critical key to meet such project’s financial index when the project was being developed.
Lei holds Master degree of Science in New and Renewable Energy at Durham University UK, and Bachelor degree of Engineering in Electronic Electrical Engineering at Dundee University UK.

Xiangdong Zhu has been leading Valmet's China Area since 2017. He was Vice President, Services, China at Valmet from 2013 to 2017. Xiangdong Zhu has 13 years working experiences in Automation. He has been working for Valmet for more than 20 years, and has committed himself to China Pulp and Paper industry for over 28 years.
Xiangdong Zhu holds Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA), and he works and lives in Shanghai.
